Chipboard, Basswood, Acrylic Paint, Aluminum Rods

This piece actually uses no glue. The wood pieces are self-supporting, through tension and compression forces at the connection points to the aluminum rods. The moment connections caused by the aluminum's torsion reinforce the rigidity of each piece's suspension. This is how I apply my technical architecture knowledge to my own side projects.
